Want to see what the view is like from Angel Falls, the fjords of Iceland, or the top of the Eiffel Tower? This great site by a team of Russians creates panoramic aerial videos of many cities and scenic spots. The view is not just a strip, but a real interactive 360 degree view that allows you to turn your eyes in any direction, from straight down, to the far horizons. I just spent 5 minutes “flying” over Victoria Falls, seeing not only the sprawling river above the falls, but the narrow, winding river gorge below, cutting a zigzag path for miles through the forested plateau.
The list includes many scenic major cities, and landmarks such as Bryce Canyon, The Twelve Apostles, Machu Picchu, Hawaii, Lake Powell, the Alps, the New Zealand Fjordland, and much more.
It’s a great way for writers to get scenic details from a whole world of different landscapes.
